Sledding!!
Grandma thought it was nice enough to take the kids out to sled today! I pulled into the cul-de-sac and found them in the street!! SO CUTE! Grannie said it was A LOT OF WORK to get them all ready by herself! You'll notice the kid in the front looks like a girl. That would be Brady in Auntie's snowsuit from the early 90's. Addison has on another of Auntie's snowsuits too. Grannie bought one pair of snowpants for Colin. I wasn't about to spend a ton of money on snow clothes that would be worn 5 times!
And here is a little video. Please ignore my comments as usual. I was REALLY excited to see them outside and it was VERY funny to watch too!

When daddy stays home....
Ryan was home with the kiddos today. He works many Saturdays a year so then he is able to take a day off during the week.
Addie can often tell you where her tummy is and sometimes will point to her nose when you ask her too. Ryan decided to teach her something new today....
Right after bath, Ryan VERY PROUDLY says to Addison, "Where's your BOOBS Addie?" And what does Addie do?! Puts her hands right on them!!!!!!! And not just one or two times. EVERY time I ask her!
Way to go, Ryan............

13 months!
Happy 13 months babies!
Not a lot going on here. Ryan and I celebrated their 13 month birthday with a much needed DATE NIGHT! Buffalo Wild Wings was delicious! Grannie and Grandpa babysat so we could enjoy some time together!
The kiddos are growing and learning so much. Addie seems to understand what we're saying quite a bit. She understands "go get a book" and "get me a diaper" really well. I can even tell her to look for our favorite book "Brown Bear Brown Bear" and she'll get that book. She's one smart cookie! She still can't say any real words other than "Hi mom or Hi Dad!" Soon enough I'm sure! She's still a momma's girl and definitley is nicer to the boys than they are to her! Kisses are still her favorite thing and I even caught her giving Brady kisses the other day! SO CUTE!
Brady is still the lover and cuddler...and FIT THROWER! He "blabbers" the most so I think he may be the first to really say some words. He's really become a daddy's boy too. (Which makes mommy sad!) I guess I can't be everyones favorite though, right?!? His favorite thing to do is to pull the heat vent thingy off of the living room floor and throw toys (or daddy cell phone cover) down it...........So that's where all of the missing toys are! Stinker! And he loves to pull off his diaper and run away from me (naked!) and laugh the whole time he's running!
Colin is still wild. He can throw a good fit too. We had a first today with him. He completely got his head stuck in between the spindles...like REALLY stuck. He has huge red marks on his head and ears to prove it. Poor kid! Looked like it hurt like hell! He's still into pulling hair and beating on everyone...but crying like a girl when someone picks on him! He needs to toughen up!!!!
Other than that, not much going on at our house. We haven't taken the kids out much because of the FREEZING, crappy weather. Ready for some warmer temps so we can take the kids sledding!

Our Wednesday morning..in photos!
What's a day like in our house? Pretty busy and kinda crazy most days. We had 2 snow days on Monday and Tuesday so I was home all day with the kids. We also had a 2 hour late start this morning. I don't know what their deal is but they've been kind of crabby lately. Addie follows me around like a little puppy and whines/cries till I pick her up. Annoying but I still love her. I'm ready for the kids to be back to their normal happy, healthy selves.

Enough already!!!!!!!
Just when I think things are getting better...
Addie had a fever last night of 101.7. Her whole body was HOT. Her nose is running nonstop and has a cough to go with it. REALLY!? She was a huge crab this morning, too. I hate not knowing what's wrong. She was pulling on her ear...but I've seen her do that sevearl times before when she doesn't act sick and is fine. Maybe she's telling me she wants her ears pierced. Sorry hunny. Not till you're like 12. I decided to take her in anyway. NO ear infection. I wish she had one. Then there would be an excuse for her crabbiness.
Thankfully, the boys are feeling better (I think). Especially Brady. Both boys slept great last night so I'm hoping it's OVER. And NEVER comes back.
Nothing much has been going on around here. I had my first week back to work after a 2 week break. Wasn't too bad. I was definitley tired Friday at 3:30! I live for Christmas break. And summer break. I don't think I could ever have a "real" job where you work all year round and only get vacation days here and there. NO THANKS.
I've been slacking on picture taking. Probably because everyone is sick! Here are a few from the last week or so.

When it rains...
IT POURS!
Ear infection #2. Colin. I caught it right away and took him in yesterday. She said it looked pretty bad. Poor little guy. Brady is thankfully feeling much better though.
And they all have colds. Runny noses. A few coughs. FUN.

Bye Bye Paci!
We took Addison's paci away on Tuesday. So far so good!!
I've never been a paci lover....She had it a lot in the NICU so she could learn how to suck. She loved it a lot more than the boys did. They gave up the habit at about 3-4 months. She's so much cuter without it in her mouth!!!!!

1 year check-up
The kiddos had their one year check-up today. Lots of good news and a little bit of bad news...
Brady has been super crabby the last few days and has woke up the last 2 nights screaming. Ear infection. YUCK. Thank goodness we had our 1 year checkup today or I doubt I would have taken him in. I thought he was just being a stinker and not sleeping thru the night. Other than that, he's doing great! He's getting big and weighed in at 21 lbs 15 oz and is 31 inches long!
Addie's growing like a weed too! Still smaller than the boys but healthy as a horse! She weighed in at 20 lbs 4 oz and was 29.5 inches long. I was a little worried she'd have to get glasses. We'd discussed her eyes at the 6 month appointment several months ago. If you haven't noticed, her eye crosses a little. I've noticed it has gotten so much better and Dr. Beck thought so too! He says the way the light hits her eye is the important thing and that all checked out just fine! She was the shot champ too! Only cried for about 7 seconds! ROCKSTAR!
Colin is huge. That's all I can say. He checked in at 24 lbs 5 oz and was 31 inches long. Nothing to report on him really! He's doing just fine! He probably cried the most with the shots..maybe 20 seconds?
I love Dr. Beck. He is so nice and the kids love him. When he's assessing a kid, you could honestly hear a pin drop in the room. I hold the child being looked at and the other 2 sit on Ryan's lap....and they are absolutley silent. When we're waiting for the doctor to come in, the kids run around the room and get into EVERYTHING. The second him comes in and starts, they are perfect little angels. Now only if they could sit that still in church............
He was impressed with their walking abilities and how well they are doing developmentally. We have LOTS to work on in the next 6 months though. Saying a few more words, walking down stairs with help from an adult, using a spoon, and lots other! We'll go back for our next visit at the end of June!

mErRy ChRiStMaS!
Celebrated our 2nd Christmas as a family of 5 on Thursday and Friday! Definitely a lot more fun than spending it in the hospital like I did last year! The food was much better this year, too!
The kids and I packed up on Wednesday and headed to Marcus. Ryan had to work Thursday so he came then. Had Christmas at Grandma Downs (my dad's side) on Thursday night. We all got lots of fun stuff! Toys, money and gift cards! Just what we needed!
On Friday, we opened presents at grannie and grandpas house in the morning. Again, lots of fun stuff! Pajamas, outfits, toys, and a SLED!!!!!! We pulled them around the living room and they loved it! Can't wait to take it outside when it's a few degrees warmer! Mom kept some old snowsuits so the kids will have something warm to wear! I know she's looking forward to pulling them around Hinton when she comes back to babysit in January!
