Play date

We headed to Marcus this morning for our first real playdate with Carson and Lydia! Carson is 1 month older than the trips and Lydia is 1 month younger than my kids. I was anxious to see how well they would play together---and wanted to see if my kids would bite and pull their hair! All was good! We don't get to play with kids our own age very often..most of my friends have kids that are quite a bit older...or a little too young to really play yet. We'll have to do it again soon! Thanks for having us over Gina!

Addie and Lydia gabbing

This is what it would look like if I had quints! YIKES! (Notice 4 of them playing and Colin pulling on the curtain!)

Love this one! Carson and Colin

Brady liked to kiss Lydia! Very slobbery kisses....

The kiddos got lots of new spring/summer jammies for Easter! I thought they looked adorable tonight when I put them on and just had to have a little photo shoot!

Addie's New Room!

Addie moved into her own room in October/November. After months of living in a very boring tan room, we finally decided it was time to get it painted! After 1 very ugly coat of bright yellow and bright pink paint, I decided it was a little too bold and not babyish enough! A little primer (SORRY DAD!) and a few more gallons of paint did the trick :) Instead, I decided on 2 shades of light pink and it turned out great! Grandpa took the old woodwork off and put new white woodwork and white doors on. Hope she likes it as much as I do!

Shelf was made by Grandpa Greg.

NO BOYS ALLOWED!

Gram made the polka dot curtain-my favorite part of the room!

Such a girly room!! The white doors/woodwork really make the room brighter.

Easter!!!

Hope you all had a HAPPY EASTER! We sure did! Here is our weekend in pictures!

On Saturday, we headed to the football field for our first Easter Egg Hunt! Addison did pretty well. The boys...well...not so much! They just grabbed an egg and threw it around!
Had to dig out the winter coats--it was chilly!!

Daddy and the boys

Auntie helped too!
We then headed to Marcus for the day. I turned the BIG 27 and the kids got me a birthday cake!
Best present ever! Thanks Addie, Brady and Colin!
We had Easter at my grandma's house on Saturday night!
Brady with his favorite Uncle Jake! (Notice the shirt--the kid never stops drooling!)
We celebrated Easter Sunday at my mom and dad's house! The weather wasn't too bad so we got to have the Easter Egg hunt outside!

Impossible to get a good group picture!

After naps, we headed across the street to the park to play. They loved it!

They LOVED the big slide!!!!!! Look at her face!

Brady did too!

Colin got stuck but had fun too!!

16 Months

16!

Look at those teeth!

Big boy Colin

Everytime I'd say "Cheese" she'd grin and squint her eyes!
We're 16 months---and learning so much everyday! Brady has mastered the stairs. He can go up and down them on his feet holding onto the wall. Ryan even caught him walking down the middle of the stairs no handed for about 4-5 steps! Big boy! Addison will have it mastered any day now. Colin does well on his feet too. We've had 2 big tumbles but I don't even think they cried. Brady has rolled down the whole way and Colin has too. We're tough at our house. A little pat on the back and off they go. The reason I mention this is because the doctor gave us that goal by 18 months.

We're not saying as many words as I had hoped at this point. Brady has recently added cracker to his vocabulary and Addie said yes to me several times the other day. They understand so much though. It's fun to tell them to get you a diaper or the wipes. They often clap for themselves after you praise them for their good work! I'm anxious for them to TELL me what they want instead of pointing or grunting. Addie likes to stand at the cupboard and grunt at the treat she wants. It's a guessing game until I point to the right one.

Here are a few of our favorite things at 16 months:

Fruit-green grapes. They'd eat them all day long if I'd let them.
Breakfast- cinnamon rolls
Snack- puff corn! Mommy loves it too!
Activity-playing outside. When I bring them out to the SUV, they scream and kick because they want me to put them down to play. Brady loves the little red and yellow car and often just sits in it and smiles!
Inside Activity- climbing on the couch, biting (boys), reading books. We still love our baths and even put our face in the water sometimes. Anxious for the swimming pool!

Looking forward to Easter Weekend with my family! Check back for Easter pictures and pictures of Addison's new PINK room :)

Birthday WEEK

Yep, I get a WHOLE WEEK. My gram started this tradition when I was in high school (maybe earlier?) and I look forward to it each year! A present a day for a week until your actual birthday! I wish birthday weeks came more often :) Thanks grandma for spoiling me this week!

And just a pic of mommy and the kiddos before heading off to work. Looking forward to having Friday and Monday off to enjoy with the munchkins!

And yes, we're still wearing fleece jams in mid-April. It's COLD outside! Come on spring!

Disaster

Have you ever gone out to eat with your spouse or your friends and the waiter seats you by a table with a bunch of noisy/rowdy kids? You're trying to enjoy your meal and good conversation but all you can see and hear are the wild children sitting across from you? You think to yourself, "Wow, my kids would never act like that!--Those kids are so naughty!"  Has that ever happened to you?

Well...last night...we were THAT TABLE. We were the table with the wild children! Mom, dad and I took the kids to Texas Roadhouse. Talk about a train wreck. Food everywhere, kids trying to climb on the table, Colin chatting with the people behind us...you get the picture.  Just for fun, we often rate our children's behavior on a scale of 1-10. 10 being good...1 being naughty. I'd give Addison about a 7, Brady maybe a 3, and Colin a 1. Such a disaster! I don't know what their deal was but I'm surprised we weren't kicked out. Thankfully, it's so noisy in there anyway that you couldn't hear them squawking. So much for enjoying one of my favorite restaurants! We won't be going back for while. We'll just have to stick to Dairy Queen!

I love.

You wanna know what I LOVE??

*Getting 3 toddlers out of bed in the morning. Best way to start my day. This will never ever get old.
*The fact that my kids go to bed without a fight at 8pm and sleep until at least 7am.
*Listening to the boys talk back and forth when they go to bed at night and when they wake up.
*The way Colin kisses me with his mouth completly wide open. I love his little baby breath and the fact that he drools in my mouth doesn't even bother me.
*The way Brady blabbers all day long. His little voice is my favorite.
*The way Addison kisses me all day long. Such a kind heart..
*Holding my babies while they sleep. Not much longer and those days will be over.
*The fact that my kids are so different, but yet have so many things that are similar.
*Being able to stay home all summer long with them...every summer.
*Watching them interact/play/laugh with each other...knowing that they will be best of friends very soon.
*The fact that I don't have to send them to daycare and that they get the best care a kid could have..from their grandmother.
*Being a mom to the best 3 kids ever. Best job EVER.

And do you know what else I'd LOVE? For you to stop growing up.

Brady and his dance moves...

Brady likes to dance. He dances everywhere...in his crib, on the couch and even tries to do it in the tub! Caught him dancing on the table tonight!

Little bit of everything

Grandma's gas bill has been a little high lately so I invited her to stay the night with us! We took the kids for supper at Dairy Queen and they were PERFECT! They loved the fries, chicken strips and grilled cheese! The orange pop and ice cream were a hit too. We'll definitely go back! :) We then headed to Lowes to look for paint for Addison's room. She moved into her own room several months ago and I still haven't done anything with her room. Check back for pictures soon :)

Perfect angels at Dairy Queen

Brady LOVED the Orange Pop!

What...the ice cream is GONE?!?!

In Lowes looking for paint. This cart was perfect for us!

Back home for snacks on our new table! (Will be painted soon)
And just a few random pictures from mom's camera...enjoy!
