Where do I start? The last 5 months have been crazy. Good, but crazy. The babies have changed so much and life is starting to become a lot easier....
January-March were spent with little sleep. Ryan took 3 weeks off of work (I took 8 MONTHS off of work!) and my mom moved in with us. Yes, my mom LIVED with us from Jan-March. Thank the lord for my mom. Ryan will totally agree. Some of you may think...omg, I could NEVER have my mom or mother-in-law live with me, but I thank God everyday that she did!! She totally put her life and job on hold to take care of us and her grandkids! She rocks. Seriously, she's the best mom ever. She cooked, cleaned and did a lot of laundry. NOT because I ask her to, but because she LIKED to. Strange, I know. She definitely made life a lot easier for us..and still does!
Thank God for April. The kids all started to sleep through the night at the beginning of April. Sleeping through the night means sleeping from 11pm-7am. Unfortunatly, they still refuse to go to bed much before 11, but Addie and Brady are now sleeping till 8 or 9am. Not Colin...7am and he's up! We also decided that we no longer needed mom to stay with us. She still helps out Wednesday-Saturday. My grandma Nancy comes on Monday and Ryan is home on Tuesday since he works Saturday.
May has come and almost gone. The kids are almost 5 months and changing so much. They all roll over, giggle and coo constantly, and have such different personalites.
**Colin is so loud and I think will get in trouble a lot in school for talking. He never sits still either. He was the biggest at birth and still is. I think he's huge but compared to other 5 month olds, he's still small. Come to our house at about 10pm to see Colin in his prime. He comes to life at night! He'll be the partier...
**Brady is quiet and a little shy I think. He would sit with you for hours and just coo! He's a thinker and concentrates hard on a toy before grabbing for it. I think he'll be the smart one and have to help the other 2 with their homework!
**Addie is quiet like Brady but can be sassy. She likes attention and will "yell" when she wants something. I have a feeling she'll be the boss. I wonder who she gets that from. She's kind of a momma's girl..and I love it :)
So yeah, the last 5 months have been great and I'll have to admit, a lot of WORK! But I will say it's been easier than I thought it would be. The kiddos aren't fussy and are very content most days. They are starting to entertain themselves for longer periods of time and I'm anxious for the day that they will entertain each other and I can get more done!
I love these updates because even though we talk every couple of days, its never enough time to know what your life is really like on a day to day basic. so thank you for summing it up:) i love knowing more about the trips and their personalities b/c the little bit of time i was home just wasn't enough to get to know them very well. i miss you all so much and am beyond impressed with how well you and ryan are going as parents. not that i didn't think you could handle it, but the fact that you handle it so well and not once have you called me to cry or tell me how difficult it is. not everyone could do what you do emma and you're a wonderful mommy:) can't wait to continue reading these posts on a daily/weekly basis (whenever you have the time) but i apprecaite you keeping us all updated!! i love bobbi too and think she's an angel from God for giving up her life for her daughter/grandchildren.. thats amazing!! kudos bob if you have a chance to read this too:) miss and much love from PA XOXO
